On Wednesday 15th June 2016, County Brides hosted the 6th annual North West Wedding Awards at The Imperial War Museum in Manchester. Myself and my guests were really excited about the evening ahead and hoped it would be another successful win for CHERISH BRIDAL!
This year’s event was attended by over 290 guests and the event raised over £1961.70 on the night for their chosen charity, The Royal British Legion – Poppy Appeal.
The venue dressing theme for the Awards evening was ‘Poppies’, with tables named after famous people, items and events connected with World War II. Our two tables were ‘pearl harbour’ and ‘a bridge to far’ which stuck an emotional cord with two of my guests who decided it was fate that we were given those particular tables !
We were greeted in Reception with prosecco and music provided by Paul Heptinstall (Smooth Sax)Later on in the evening everyone enjoyed more live music by UTC Band, who were fantastic and got us all dancing the night away!
The DJ from Dancefloor Couture, Magic Mirror by Cheshire Celebrations & Photobooth by Hipswing Entertainments provided more enjoyment until late on into the night, a great time was had by all!
Many Brides, bridegrooms and customers from across the region had voted for the best suppliers in the wedding industry. Over 2300 votes were counted, more than 200 companies were nominated, and 25 winners picked up their well-deserved awards on the night.
We were one of the many happy winners on the night collecting Best Bridal Retailer for the 2nd year running, what an amazing surprise it was too!! Seven shops were listed as finalists so when Cherish Bridal was announced as the winner, our tables erupted into screams of shock and amazement, lots of hugs and tears and a massive feeling of pride being voted once again by my wonderful customers for this fantastic award.
We all had a wonderful time , thanks once again to COUNTY BRIDES for their constant support both as business colleagues and friends – heres to the next 12 months and more success ahead!!
Thanks to Alan harding for his fantastic photos!
