We are often asked a series of questions regarding the purchase and care of products ready for your all important Wedding.  Please see some of our most frequently asked questions and answers.

A. We usually need to allow a good 4-6 months before the date of the wedding as some of the companies we deal with make the gowns abroad and they have to be shipped over.

We can also store your dress for you in a specialised dress bag until your wedding day at no extra cost.

A. Most companies have a starting size of 8 and can go up to a size 30. However, there may be extra charges for gowns ordered in a size 22 upwards due to the extra fabric etc. required to make the dress for you.

es we do! Our alterations ladies have had many years of experience doing just what is required to tweak your dress to perfection!

Most alterations are done in-house therefore your dress never leaves the premises until the big day.

The cost of these alterations will be explained to you fully at your fitting and you can request as many visits as you like until you are completely happy with your gown. Alterations are usually paid separately by cash or cheque.
The cost is NOT included in the price of your wedding gown.

A. We will certainly do our best to help you sort out a gown if you don’t have a lot of time until the big day!

We do provide an ‘Express Service’ which means we can order what you would like, to arrive earlier than the normal delivery system.

It is around 6-8 weeks for the express service and there is a charge by some companies. We will advise on this when you book your gown.

We will also consider selling ‘off the peg’ depending on circumstances and on how old the sample gown is in the shop. If the sample gown is brand new then it is at the proprietors discretion to be sold ‘off the peg’.

A. Things like Tiaras, shoes, jewelry take approximately 7 days providing they are in stock at the companies’ warehouses.

Veils take roughly 2-5 weeks depending on the time of year. It always takes longer for them to be made during the peak wedding season between May and September.

Accessories can be ordered in various colours to match your dress and the rest of your wedding party.

A. Yes you can! The shoe companies we deal with do have a specialist dyeing service that will colour your shoes to match a swatch of fabric from your dress so everything co-ordinates perfectly!

It usually takes around two weeks for the dyeing service costing approx £20 for adults and £15 for children.

A. Yes. You can call into the shop to book an appointment during opening hours (shown on the ‘Contact’ page), and we will advise you on style, colour and availability during your appointment. You can also book online using our appointment booking page Here
